D. PRODUCTION PROCESSES

E. EXTRUSION

This process is applied on non-ferrous material i.e aluminium and copper alloys. The ingot of required grade of alloy is fed into the extrusion machine or “Adopter” in hot state under the action of pressure of ram/jack and material is forced out through the opening of the die of the machine. The process of stretching of the product to get the required length is carried out together with another machine of 30-50 M/Tons pressure capacity.

F. PRESSURE DIE-CASTING

The process is done on non-ferrous materials i.e. aluminium and copper alloys, being used as raw material. The molten metal is poured into dies of specific components mounted on the pressure die-casting machine for making the required components. Grinding, filling, machining and buffing processes give the final and required dimensional accuracy.

G. RE-ROLLING MILLS

This process applies to produce angles, sections and bars. The billets of specific required grades of steel are cut into pieces and re-heated in the gas fired furnace and then re-rolled into specific size of the product after passing through different passes of rolls. The rolled products are then straightened and cut into specific length if required. The bundles are prepared and coloured grade wise. Each number is tagged properly indicating heat number, size, grade and length and then stacked accordingly.
